Job Description & Responsibilities
The role is to function as the business development analyst for the Apollo Public Funds (APF), which involves understanding/monitoring APF’s financial position while providing forecasting and modeling of current & future activities. The candidate should have a strong financial background and be able to synthesize/compare APF with its competitors.
Primary Responsibilities
The candidate will provide analytical and project support for APF’s non-investment team activities, including strategic and transaction modeling, business development support, capital market comparisons, portfolio monitoring and analysis, investor relation’s support.
The Candidate Will Be Expected To Provide General Business Support To APF’s Functional Areas, Primarily Outside Of The Investment Team
- Strategic Modeling: candidate will be responsible for maintaining APF’s forecasting model while incorporating strategic options.
- Business Development: research and develop work product for discrete projects across the platform, analyze new business opportunities, market competitors and provide general support for the business development function as needed.
- Capital Markets: perform capital structure relative value analysis and tracking, track capital markets activity across APF’s portfolio and support the capital markets function as needed.
- Portfolio Monitoring: provide support for APF’s weekly/monthly & quarterly portfolio monitoring process and ongoing analytics to track portfolio construction and performance.
- Support the IR function.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate institution
- Prior experience in an equity research or credit research role strongly preferred
- The individual should have experience in the financial markets, investing and a strong background in finance and/or accounting as well as a basic understanding of the capital markets and a familiarity with leveraged finance. Strong analytical and technical aptitude
- The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and writing skills
- The candidate should have approximately 2-4 years of experience in the financial services industry
- Team player with strong work ethic

Pay Range
85,000 – 110,000
The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
