Job Description & Responsibilities
This role will partner with the Digital Services team and other BCU departments to document, analyze solutions, and help execute changes and enhancements to our digital products and services. A strong understanding of consumer behavior and preferences in the digital space and collaboration across multiple departments will be leveraged to better elevate our mobile and online banking platforms above the competition. Our primary candidates should show a strong understanding of and balance between consumer banking needs, internal business stakeholder needs, fundamentals around UI/UX journeys, and a technical understanding of what can feasibly be delivered within the timeframes needed.
Role and Responsibilities
- Establish and document scope and business objectives regarding digital products.
- Create roadmaps for feature enhancements of digital products.
- Work closely with Product Owner and Product Managers to identify priorities and help lead discussions with all business stakeholders or vendors needed to clarify requirements around those priorities.
- A strong understanding around iterative design practices, critical thinking, and problem solving.
- Be the end-user: Proactive identification and recommendations on how to actively improve our mobile and online banking platform.
- Drive process maturity to implement, document, and maintain documentation or automation for business processes that are time consuming, undocumented, or need standardization.
- Strong understanding of technological hurdles or requirements needed to support front end experiences.
- Retroactive analysis and impact reporting on previously executed initiatives to help socialize return on investment for team roadmap items and features.
- Cross-functional responsibilities and assistance between our Software Quality Assurance testing, User Acceptance Testers, Data Analysts, and UI/UX team when not focusing on Product Management priorities and documentation.
Requirements
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- Proficiency with traditional and Agile project methodology and experience in executing Agile delivery best practices.
- Incredibly strong documentation and writing skills, focused on clear and detailed business requirements and process flows.
- Demonstrated capacity for learning new skills and tools.
- Minimum 3 years business analyst or related experience required.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to assist as a consultant (and not just order taker) to your business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated track record working successfully with teams to deliver software.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and explain issues from both a technical and a business functional point of view.
- Strong understanding of UX design and best practices in the digital space.
- Experience in SaaS or consumer websites/apps preferred, but not required.
- Must have background in financial technologies or consumer facing solutions.
- Preferred experience in the payments industry or payment related field.
- Preferred experience in working within core banking platforms such as Jack Henry / Symitar.
What we offer
This position has a base salary range of 60,000.00 - 75,000.00 - 90,000.00 USD Annual. This range represents the expected base salary range for this position.
