Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst (BA) to join our dynamic team. The BA will be responsible for ensuring that business requirements are clear, comprehensive, and followed up on, facilitating regular communication with stakeholders, and enabling our product and engineering team to deliver business value more predictably, more often. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent technical and business communication, and a deep understanding of business process optimization.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with business stakeholders, including product managers and end-users, to gather detailed business and technical requirements.
- Make recommendations and/or system improvements based on independent judgement and business stakeholder feedback.
- Translate business needs into clear, concise, and actional requirements documentation.
- Create detailed and accurate tickets for the engineering team, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to refine and elaborate on ticket details as needed.
- Perform testing to ensure what engineering delivered is acceptable to the business.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, facilitating clear and effective communication.
- Anticipate and assess the needs of our customers and business partners to proactively identify solutions for addressing their challenges or creating new opportunities.
- Understand the needs of their customer to proactively find solutions that address while managing expectations.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings to inform stakeholders on development progress, encourage feedback work priority and quality, and provide demos of upcoming releases.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in business analysis and software development.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- 2 years’ experience as a business analyst within an engineering-focused environment required.
- Experience writing clear, complete technical documentation for an engineering team.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Salesforce experience a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Proficiency in project management and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer competency, including the use of a keyboard and ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Punctuality expected, ready to report to work on a consistent basis.
- Attain and maintain high performance expectations on a monthly basis.
- Work in a face-paced, high-volume setting.
- Use and navigate multiple computer systems with exceptional multi-tasking skills.
- Remain calm and professional during difficult discussions.
- Take constructive feedback.
- Available for full-time position, overtime eligible if classified non-exempt.
What we offer
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $74,000 - $89,500 .
