Job Description & Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Data Mapping and Reconciliation Business Analyst based in Buffalo, to work on a client data quality and reconciliation transformation project within the Loans space.
Responsibilities
About the role
The scope and nature of the projects on which you’ll work will vary however, examples of duties/responsibilities include:
- Mapping data flows from circa 50 systems into the core Loans processing data repository
- Data mappings and translations
- Preparing and distributing mapping documentations beyond the data team
- Creating presentations and written reports to effectively communicate findings and recommendations
- Conducting data analytics to support decision-making processes
- Providing streamline reporting, analytics and insights
- Collaborating with various teams to gather and define business requirements
- A large focus of the work will be ensuring data integrity and validity, including validating the required automated reconciliations.
- Developing process flows
- Validating data sources
- Defining and documenting business requirements and functional specifications

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong educational background – Degree (Masters would be an advantage)
- Demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst (BA)
- Experience in data reconciliation and tracing
- Advanced experience with Excel
- Data validation and presentation systems a plus
- Experience working with data flows, and mappings and translations
- Confident writing mapping documents for a range of audiences
- Experience of working on professional services projects, ideally for Investment Bank or a Big 4 consulting firm
- Ability to manage multiple tasks across various timelines
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated independence, teamwork and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of seniority

What we offer
Salary Range: $110,000-$120,000 or hourly equivalent
