Job Description & Responsibilities
This position is responsible for analysis at the highest level of complexity and data expertise. Leads analytical projects and advanced technical reporting. Implements effective technology solutions to deliver appropriate BI solutions to advance data and trend analysis, complex problem solving and predictive intelligence. Assesses a wide scope of business drivers that impact IT operational activities and performance. Evaluates current reporting methodologies, collects information and industry trends, and delivers meaningful operational performance indicators. Develops and implements process improvements. May provide a leadership role within the work group through knowledge of BI solutions, data analysis and expanded reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities
- Serve as technical expert and BI development lead to launch BI solution(s) for the implementation and maintenance of new Technology Reporting and Analytics program for the IT Infrastructure and Operations group
- Ensure the physical design, build and implementation of databases, data warehouses and/or data lakes are constructed in a manner that assures functionality with BI solution(s)
- Source, compile, and interpret data and serve as a business analytics expert to the IT Infrastructure and Operations group
- Establish recognition as a dependable source of accurate and meaningful decision-making information
- Develop, deploy, and maintain complex stored procedures for ETL processes to include import/export tasks and data normalization to ensure the security and integrity of databases
- Troubleshoot and diagnose data quality issues and recommend appropriate validation or remediation activities
- Perform data analysis on an advanced level, effectively communicating and directing analysis output
- Provide expert support for the IT Infrastructure and Operations group by automating advanced metric development, interactive dashboards and reports that increase transparency and visibility into the business of IT
- Develop reporting strategies to assist with achieving company and departmental goals while delivering transformational information that illuminate organizational strengths and opportunities through dashboards and visualizations
- Design and implement meaningful reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities to convey complex problems, patterns, and areas of improvement
- Create reports and dashboards with functionality to integrate across multiple delivery methods such as web, mobile devices and PowerPoint presentations
- Expand business informational needs through advanced, forward-thinking technical analysis and predictive intelligence while providing continuous improvements and enhancements as required
- Lead workflow processes and provide required guidance to business analysts and other teammates as appropriate
- Develop and maintain various documentation such as, but not limited to, standard operating procedures, workflow processes and training documentation to support the Technology Reporting and Analytics program.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Analytics, or modeling, or reporting OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Analytics, or modeling, or reporting
Non-Technical
- Well-versed professional with excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to foster strong interpersonal relationships to facilitate requirements gathering
- Comfortable delivering informational and decision-making presentations to various levels of management via PowerPoint, reports or interactive visualizations
- Proven experience as a technical writer with ability to document processes and procedures
- Ability to thrive in fact-pace environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong experience with leading infrastructure projects as a project lead or project manager
- Experience with working in regulated industries (Financial Services or Pharmaceutical industry)
Technical
- Proven experience in launching complex analytics/metrics program with extensive visualizations and dashboards to create meaningful user experiences
- Experience with SharePoint (integrate with BI solutions, create and maintain libraries, lists and surveys)
- In-depth experience with Power BI and/or Tableau report development (file, RDBMS and SharePoint list sources)
- Experience with various software applications, database technologies and business intelligence tools such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, SAS, Visual Studio, Xcode, SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), SharePoint, Nintex, MS Report Builder, PerformancePoint, Crystal Reports, Splunk, ServiceNow, Dreamweaver, Flash, MS Access, MS Excel
- Working expertise with multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, Swift, HTML, ASP, XML, VBScript, JavaScript, T-SQL, PL\SQL, VB, VBA
- Extract, transform and load data leveraging various platforms (SQL Server with SSIS or Oracle with SQL Loader, etc.)
- MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
What we offer
The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $99,857 to $173,086 per year.
