Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support our Data and AI Solutions team.
You will play a crucial role in understanding and translating business needs into technical requirements for data and AI products. You will work closely with AI Product Managers, Data Product Managers, Solution Architects and cross-functional teams to ensure that our solutions meet the needs of our customers and align with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering: Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather business requirements from stakeholders. Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and requirements to ensure a clear understanding of business needs.
Documentation: Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), use cases, and process flow diagrams. Develop technical requirement documents (TRDs) in collaboration with product managers and technical teams.
Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions. Work with data scientists and analysts to interpret and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring that business needs are effectively communicated. Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate project status, risks, and issues.
Solution Design and Validation: Assist in the design and development of data and AI solutions by providing business context and insights. Participate in testing and validation of solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards.
Performance Monitoring: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data and AI solutions. Monitor and report on the performance and impact of implemented solutions, providing recommendations for improvement.
Project Management: Support Support project planning, monitoring, and reporting to ensure that projects stay on track and meet business objectives. Assist in managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business analysis, data, and AI.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in a data or AI-focused environment
- Understanding of data architecture principles and data pipeline processes, including ETL/ELT frameworks
- Experience working with data warehousing solutions, data lakes, and cloud-based data platforms
- Familiarity with data modeling techniques and tools, as well as data governance practices
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts, including model development, training, and deployment processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart)
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R is a plus
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure devops is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
What we offer
Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $76,500 to $94,155.
Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.
This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
