In this role, you will partner with Global Performance Leads (GPL) to provide business critical insights using analytics, ensuring cross-functional alignment of goals, execution, and helping teams drive strategic initiatives forward. You will drive improvements across customer segmentation, data gathering and analysis, automated reporting, and dashboard design to grow business intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Identify key growth and performance opportunities for main Google Ads products across various points of the customer lifecycle (Search, pMAX, Measurement).
  • Work with large, complex data sets and solve complex analytical problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed. Conduct analysis that includes problem formulation, experiment design, data gathering, analysis, deliverable creation, and presentation.
  • Make business recommendations via presentations that effectively translate technical work to business partners and senior executives through synthesized analyses and visual storytelling.
  • Develop and automate reports, iteratively build and prototype dashboards to help with reporting and analytical needs of the team and key stakeholders.
  • Engage in ad-hoc analyses to understand business performance/user metrics and provide concise summaries and recommendations to management.
Business Analyst, Customer Solutions - Job requirements

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience addressing cross-functional business issues with data analytics.
  • Experience working with SQL and data visualization.
  • Experience building presentations and briefing documents to communicate insights and influence decision making.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with controlled experiments, causal studies, and communicating results to non-technical audience.
  • Experience with SQL and statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R) to implement statistical analysis and machine learning models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis to non-technical audiences.
  • Advanced technical and analytical skills, including SQL and dashboard development capabilities.
  • Excellent business acumen and interest in thinking critically about growth drivers and opportunities.
What we offer at Google

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $111,000-$163,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
