Business Analyst, Commercial - Job Role & Responsibilities

The Commercial Business Analyst reports to the VP, Media Partnerships and is responsible for operational, data analysis and reporting tasks related to optimizing the output of Talon’s commercial team. This role supports the effective management and delivery of the commercial targets and communication with the key stakeholders at Talon.

OUR TEAM

Our team represents an important part of Talon’s operations and is responsible for the development and delivery of Talon America’s investment and trading strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATIONSHIPS

  • Produce and circulate weekly reports across Management, Commercial and Client teams including but not limited to the following:
  • Future Business
  • Media Owner Tracker
  • Client / Agency Tracker for each group
  • Programmatic Trackers for Spend and Pricing
  • Monthly Service Level Agreement delivery
  • Other bespoke reports upon request
  • Partner with internal Client Strategy and Activation Teams, as well as external suppliers, to ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting
  • Partner with Talon’s Finance team to ensure client and supplier partnership terms are fully executed
  • Identify risks and opportunities for the commercial team through analysis of data.
  • Identify and analyze trends in the market to influence commercial strategy.
  • Support Commercial Team with communicating the commercial strategy to the business and assisting the teams.
  • Liaise with various key members of Talon Business Units to ensure visibility on campaigns
  • Build and maintain relationships with input into the development of Plato and Atlas to optimize reporting for investment.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with data sources.
  • Participate in regular meetings with key media owners.
  • Other duties as needed by Talon.
