Job Description & Responsibilities
ICF is looking for an experienced Business Analyst capable of thriving on a scrum-based agile software development team. Your primary role in this team is to translate, communicate, and document healthcare business, data, and policy requirements so that the development team can understand customer and user needs in the form of implementable and testable stories. You will be part of a highly talented, dynamic development team that will be using a set of modern technologies, human-centered design, and DevOps approaches. This position is open to a mid-level to principal professional depending on experience.
Our core work hours are 10am - 4pm Eastern Time with the option to start earlier or work later depending on your time zone.
Responsibilities
- Research and document business, data, and policy requirements and confirming them with customers, users, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with the customer and team leadership to breakdown the roadmap epics and features into stories
- Provide leadership by proactively communicating with customers, users, and other stakeholders to ensure needs are being addressed and cross-team dependencies are identified
- Provide support and guidance to customers, users, and other stakeholders
- Proactively contribute to the quality of the product by seeking and proposing new or alternative approaches to address the requirements
- Validate that product deliveries meet customer requirements and drive product demos
- Represent the customer and users during backlog grooming sessions and internal demos
- Work with the Product Owner, customers, and developers to write stories which are independent, negotiable, valuable, estimable, small, and testable
- Responsible for ensuring stories include validation criteria which reasonably covers all areas necessary for complete testing of the new functionality
- Collaborate with developers during their design and development efforts to provide support for their analysis of stories
- Coordinate between frontend and backend development teams
- Assist the quality assurance team with design of test scenarios for stories
- Participate as a member of the development team and engaging in Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Scrum Meetings, and other agile activities
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Business Analyst or related technical role
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1+ years' experience with JIRA, Confluence, and the rest of the Atlassian suite
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Candidate must have resided in the US 3 of the last 5 years, be authorized to work in the US, and work must be performed in the US
Professional Skills
- Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and priorities
- Experience on an agile software development team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the healthcare industry
- Experience with APIs and Web Applications
- Experience with data analysis and relational databases
- Federal Government contracting work experience
- Prior experience working remotely full-time

What we offer
Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$56,467.00 - $95,993.00
