Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction through comprehensive customer insights and strategic analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Insights:

  • Design and execute studies to gather customer insights.
  • Write specifications and user stories.
  • Develop hypotheses on major problems to solve and use them as a basis for ideation.
  • Facilitate customer cohort discussions, manage questions, analyze results, and validate prototypes through customer feedback.
  • Present findings and actionable insights to senior management.
  • Product features confirmation (ensure features match vision they started with/customer needs)
  • Conduct thorough and creative market research to evaluate company position relative to competitors.

Strategic Analysis:

  • Synthesize company, competitor, and customer information to identify key problems and opportunities.
  • Create associations and sequence information to develop clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • Interpret complex specifications into actionable engineering documentation.

Some travel will be required – about 20 days/yr.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the Education industry (K-12)
  • Experience with state reporting.
  • Proven experience in market research and customer insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to ask the right questions and read between the lines to determine customer needs.
  • Strong critical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to work independently.
  • Bonus points for experience in product management and QA.
