Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction through comprehensive customer insights and strategic analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Insights:
- Design and execute studies to gather customer insights.
- Write specifications and user stories.
- Develop hypotheses on major problems to solve and use them as a basis for ideation.
- Facilitate customer cohort discussions, manage questions, analyze results, and validate prototypes through customer feedback.
- Present findings and actionable insights to senior management.
- Product features confirmation (ensure features match vision they started with/customer needs)
- Conduct thorough and creative market research to evaluate company position relative to competitors.
Strategic Analysis:
- Synthesize company, competitor, and customer information to identify key problems and opportunities.
- Create associations and sequence information to develop clear, data-driven recommendations.
- Interpret complex specifications into actionable engineering documentation.
Some travel will be required – about 20 days/yr.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience in the Education industry (K-12)
- Experience with state reporting.
- Proven experience in market research and customer insights.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to ask the right questions and read between the lines to determine customer needs.
- Strong critical reasoning skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to work independently.
- Bonus points for experience in product management and QA.

- Compensation - $80,000 - $120,000/year + equity + benefits
