Job Description & Responsibilities
The M&A Business Operations Analyst will work collaboratively with our M&A integration stakeholders to evaluate acquisition operations and technology integration processes, identify risks, and escalate issues as they relate to HUB Operations and Technology standards. The role reports to the Senior Manager, M&A Business Operations and functions as a member of the M&A Integration team. This role will be responsible for developing an understanding of acquired businesses’ operations in order to ensure successful integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Due Diligence Risk Assessment
- Understand as much as possible about acquired businesses’ day-to-day operations, workflows, organization structure, RACI, and use of technology during the due diligence process
- Perform business process integration risk assessments, evaluating the probability and impacts of risk to acquisition value resulting from integration into Hub
- Contribute input into the financial estimate for each acquisition, identifying potential hidden sources of transition or run cost
Integration Business Requirements Gathering
- Participate in discovery sessions and walkthroughs with business analysts, regional leaders, and seller subject matter experts in order to map out processes and integration friction points
- Identify all acquisition key business processes and technology components used to enable
- Understand the utility of legacy systems, applications, and technical platforms and how they will change or interact with HUB’s systems
- Define critical relationships between people, processes, and technology
- Perform current state / future state gap analysis to identify potential risks or issues that will need addressed during the integration process
Integration Program Business SME
- Perform change management assessments, integration scheduling, application data mapping, skills gap identification, role gaps, training needs, and capacity constraints
- Participate in the creation of communications and training plans, providing key input into deliverables
- Identify opportunities for improvement coming out of the CSAT surveys, post-integration
Team Leadership and Management
- Demonstrate Operations and Technology Leadership Behaviors (one team, build trust, customer driven, future focused, innovate daily, and be curious) in all actions and ways of working, and coach their organization on the behaviors
- Fulfill additional duties as required
Key Success Measurements
- Maintaining CSAT of 4.0 out of 5.0 or better for all integration events
- Creating comprehensive process maps to establish a better understanding of the business in order for technology delivery to be completed on time with minimal rework
- Providing detailed risk assessments and gap analyses in timely fashion to enable Program Directors to deliver per Operating Agreements with stakeholders
Requirements
Qualifications
- 3 years as a business analyst in technology delivery projects
- Experience with M&A transition and technology transformation projects
- Experience with technology infrastructure implementations, application data conversions, and software lifecycle
- Familiarity with technology topics, vernacular, and processes
- Change management experience within the context of M&A integration
- Strong customer-facing presentation skills
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: P&C, US EB, Canadian EB, Specialty Retail, 401k Pension Benefits, and/or MGA / MGU / Wholesale
What we offer
Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $85K to $95K and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
