Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

The Business Analyst, (BA), will be responsible for the business and technical analysis of technical products and processes for the Supply pillar, including support for Supply initiatives across the Corporate Traveller, FCM and Leisure brands. This role will require analysis of complex integrated platforms and their associated technical and business processes throughout the booking-to-invoice lifecycle. The Business Analyst will work closely with multiple teams, resources and stakeholders to coordinate business requirements into technical requirements with accurate acceptance criteria for assignment to development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to assess and articulate goals and benefits of impacts
  • Skilled at both business and systems gap analysis as well as building and articulating workflows
  • Coordinates, and has accountability for the successful completion of all aspects of assigned project work
  • Can exercise independent judgment, and take the lead role on mid-level projects with minimal direction from Supervisor
  • Can effectively facilitate meetings, demonstrate brainstorming / consensus building skills, and interact with executive level project sponsors
  • Can translate a problem statement into clear and concise User Stories and/or BRD’s
  • Can document business requirements into technical requirements and keep all documentation up to date
  • Works effectively and individually with Technical and Non-Technical team members of multiple teams across Supply, and Corporate/Leisure Technology. Has the ability to work cohesively with all areas.
  • Basic understanding of each areas processes and ability to analyze how each area might be affected by a specific project or technical implementation. Ability to assess and articulate goals and benefits of impacts.
  • Able to successfully demonstrate understanding of AgentPort on a profile level and how it interacts with Sabre.
  • Above average understanding of Sabre as far as creating bookings, shopping, faring, reading PNR and queue history, etc.
  • General understanding of all Supply, Leisure, and Corporate Technology systems (Sabre, profiles, OBT’s (both W2 and external providers), RedDox, Red Apps, scripts, Compleat, back office, finance and reporting, etc.) and how they impact and interact with each other.
  • Ability to determine and document system, business or development dependencies within any given project ensuring a seamless delivery.
