Overview: The Business Analyst collaborates with business and IT to drive requirements planning to define required business processes. This includes participating in every stage of the development life cycle and collaborating on feature prioritization, timelines, schedules, metrics and reporting, etc., and preparing communication to stakeholders and customers on new features added.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyzes business processes, organizational structure, goals and procedures to identify and develop strategies to improve efficiency and cross-functional collaboration within the business;
• Partners with business users to identify areas of process improvements and recommends solutions through automation and applying lean concepts;
• Creates detailed business requirements by partnering with the business and translates the requirement into functional specifications;
• Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, tracking progress, resolving problems, communicating progress and recommending actions;
• Leads the implementation of the identified solutions, by performing system testing, providing end-user training, documentation and support as needed;
• Other duties as requested and/or determined;
• Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;
• Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and
• Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.

Job Requirements:

• 1+ years of product management, software development or similar Business Analyst role;
• Ability to identify and implement process and/or technology improvements in conjunction with peers; and
• Process analytical skills-interest in and aptitude for understanding both the business and the technical specifics of that business.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Sedentary work ( i.e. sitting for long periods of time);
• Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
• Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
• Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
• Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.
