Job Description & Responsibilities
The Business Analyst within the MaryRuth’s IT department analyzes complex business operations and recommends solutions to align individual business functions with organizational goals. This role requires thorough understanding of the structure, policies, and operations of an organization and recommends solutions to improve general business processes and planning. Our business analysts lead the implementation of solutions throughout the project lifecycle and provide post implementation support. Analysts also work continually updating project documentation, educating users, and identifying future improvements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business needs, functional requirements, and system specifications.
- Analyze relevant data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and to inform decision-making.
- Create detailed processes and/or process maps to create consistent structure, visualize workflows, and identify inefficiencies in existing systems.
- QA: develop test cases and conduct testing to ensure that new features meet requirements and function as intended.
- Develop, maintain, and revise proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timeline, funding, and staffing; collaborate with different MRO teams in research, planning, scoping, implementation, and ongoing support for projects.
- Implement communication plans, creating and providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholder via reports, timelines, presentations, etc.
- Utilize appropriate methods- Agile, Waterfall- to manage projects.
- Satisfy data sampling, project analysis, testing verification, and other user requests.
- Identify opportunities for automation, and assist with the development of automation systems to address those opportunities.
- Maintain and ensure proper documentation of multiple projects.
- Some travel (<5%) may be required, with advance notice provided to the employee.
- Additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Proven (2) + years of experience as a Business Analyst required.
- Proven (1) + years of NetSuite experience required.
- (1) + years of eCommerce or Digital Marketing experience strongly preferred.
- Previous experience with Pipe17, Celigo, SPS, or similar platforms preferred.
- Expertise in writing logical and detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and test conditions documents.
- Strong oral communication skills; ability to execute written communication in a clear and straightforward manner
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment, as well as prioritize and organize effectively.
- Proven experience handling multiple projects and priorities.
- High level of experience to be able to analyze and interpret data.
- Strong ability to identify business problems/opportunities.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- This role involves sitting most of the time, but may also involve moving for brief periods of time.
What we offer
This role is a full-time (40 hr/wk), exempt, fully-remote position with a compensation range of $90,000 - $110,000 USD/year. The individual in this position will need to work one of the US time zones.
