Job Description & Responsibilities
Ecology Action and Taper have an opening for a Business Analyst. As a Business Analyst you will take your passion for driving continuous improvement and your innate problem solving skills to proactively collect, sort, clean and summarize data to help the Ecology Action team in making quick and informed decisions. You will aggregate customer, partner, utility and internal data from a diverse set of tools, analyze and summarize it, and share it back out across many teams or platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with multiple teams to manage key metrics and ensure data supporting those metrics are converted into the appropriate unit of measure to support tracking of the key metrics
- Manage and track the energy (kW, kWh, and Therm) and greenhouse gas savings associated with Ecology Action's programs
- Support the customer success and sales teams with deal financial optimization and proposal development
- Ensure a smooth transition of sold deals into our financial tracking system: generating partner, customer and utility commitments
- Track deal budgets through delivery and alert project management team of risks, providing financial summaries to aid the team in creative problem solving
- Produce reports, timeline, and graphics to communicate expectations and progress to management, customers, investors, and other relevant parties
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field required
- At least 2 years of related experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in combining large sets of data from multiple data sets/databases
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
- Aptitude to quickly adapt to change
- Extremely organized with great attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with enterprise resource planners
- Familiarity with HubSpot and AirTable

This is a hybrid role; the employee will be working remotely from a home office or may also work at the Ecology Action Headquarters in Santa Cruz, CA
Base salary
$71,362/yr - $86,500/yr
