Job Description & Responsibilities
This position is needed to support the Twilio Communications Business Unit. As a Business Analyst - Routing you will be directly responsible for Twilio customers’ business outcomes by owning profitability through cost/quality performance optimization across all Twilio routing products. This role is highly cross functional, with deep integration with product management, Supply/Demand Sales, and customers. Experience from high analytical and real-time decisions industries is required, preferably in the global messaging industry.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Foster achievement of/exceeding gross profit and revenue targets by optimizing cost/quality performance across the portfolio’s customers utilizing Twilio Routing products and various routing profiles
- You will develop, drive, and execute routing product strategies to deliver optimized margin and gross profit results. You will be accountable for the performance and take actions according to analysis outcomes
- You will analyze specific customer and GTM needs, including segmentation and performance criteria spanning large data sets and turn them into digestible financial models
- Cross functional collaboration - Professionalism, accountability, intraday responsiveness, problem solving skills focused on customer success and Revenue & GP improvements to Twilio. Thoughtfulness as to how we partner and engage with Supply, Product, and GTM to deliver best in class services to our customers.
- Partner closely with Supply/Demand Sales to identify new opportunities to maximize performance and profitability
- Serve on a cross-functional account team with representatives from product, finance, rev ops, sales, messaging operations, and our delivery teams

Required
- Combined experience in leading quantitative, highly analytical products or projects for their customers.
- Very organized, structured and detailed-driven mindset, with strong operational skills - ability to set action plans quickly with clear objectives.
- High analytical mindset, with ability to manipulate large data sets to maximize market driven results and financial outcomes.
- 5+ years of combined experience in Global Telecom, A2P Messaging industry, leading quantitative, highly analytical products or projects for their customers.
- Ability to work with business and highly technical leaders, while influencing their understanding and building supportive partnerships
- Strong financial reporting and forecasting skills of key metrics with use of Tableau, Looker, SQL or similar business intelligence tools
- Energized by a dynamic, high-growth environment; resilient in the face of challenges
- Track record of making recommendations, not only executing against a pre-established roadmap
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years’ of experience.
Desired
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including non-standard hours, to effectively manage the team located both in the US and ROW.
- Deep experience working with telecom companies, including aggregators, carriers, or global communications platforms.
- Software, SaaS, CPaas or PaaS experience
Location
This role will be remote, and based in the United States
Approximately 10% travel is anticipated.
- Please note this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado, California, New York, and Washington. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.
What we offer
The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado: $103,840 - $129,800.
- Based in New York, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $137,000.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $115,360 - $144,200.
- This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
