Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst at LLS, you will play a critical role in analyzing and understanding our business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and facilitating data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and communicate business requirements, ensuring that our projects align with organizational goals. Your analytical skills and business acumen will be instrumental in driving our organization’s success.

While employees may be permitted to work remotely, travel to the assigned office, HUB or Satellite Offices may be required as determined by the employee’s manager and the employee’s Strategic Talent Partner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for various projects and initiatives.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions and drive process improvements.
  • Process Mapping: Create process maps and workflows to visualize current and future business processes, highlighting areas for optimization.
  • Documentation: Prepare clear and concise business requirement documents, use cases, and user stories to guide development teams.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment throughout project lifecycles.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop test plans, test cases, and participate in user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks and issues related to projects and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track project progress and business performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, making data-driven recommendations.
  • Process Development: Leverage experience to co-create foundational processes needed for Enterprise Business Architecture teams to scale and grow.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Business Analyst - Job requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years Business Analyst experience within the nonprofit industry and/or consulting space
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to gather and interpret data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and workflow processing including Agile and Waterfall Project Management methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities, technologies, and business processes.

  • Weekend & evening work required may be required at times.
