Job Description & Responsibilities
Location: Remote, US business hours required
Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous Technical Business Analyst to guide the design, development, requirements, and quality assurance (QA) of the Science Exchange platform. In this role, you will closely collaborate with engineering, design, and other facets of the Science Exchange team to translate user needs into product features. Reporting to our SVP of Product & Engineering, your mission as a Technical Data Analyst will be to grasp user needs and objectives, driving product delivery from requirements definition and user validation to go-to-market deployment, including QA testing of managed features. One of the main responsibilities will be to scope out new connectors into our customers' business systems and how to create connectors into our customers' business systems.
About the role:
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and engineering
- Conduct research to integrate APIs into various business applications including ERPs, CRMs, Inventory Management Tools, and File storage systems
- Prepare technical requirement documention for customer business systems, with a comprehensive understanding of the Science Exchange data model
- Interpret and articulate user needs from internal stakeholders (finance, business development, customer success, etc.) and end-users of a two-sided marketplace (researchers, enterprise clients, CROs) into product features through requirements definition
- Formulate and validate user stories and acceptance criteria with stakeholders, UX experts, and subject matter experts (SMEs) on solutions
- Effectively manage scope and competing priorities to make tactical decisions for feature delivery and milestone achievement
- Handle and refine the backlog of features through negotiation with business stakeholders and engineering
- Participate in solutioning and develop a profound understanding of the solution to write and manage tickets effectively
- Conduct testing on the features you oversee based on your understanding and the acceptance criteria you have defined
- Exercise sound judgment or decisiveness in determining the essential elements for a feature to be viable. Be ruthless about what bugs must be fixed before going live
- Communicate the product feature at the time of delivery clearly to the business, with details of any known bugs
Requirements
Specific qualifications & requirements:
- B.S. degree in a STEM field required
- 3-5+ years of experience in customer-facing roles, including but not limited to, customer service, customer experience or technical support in the SaaS or life science industries
- Experience managing a small team of direct reports
- Passionate about a customer and technical support career
- Proficiency in Salesforce and JIRA
- Experience implementing automation-based improvements to customer support workflows and technology
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities
- US-based business hours
- Familiarity with biopharma operations, drug discovery and development, and the R&D outsourcing market nice to have
What we offer
The US-based salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$180,000. Our salary ranges are determined by the role and seniority level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay can be determined by additional factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
Please note that the compensation details listed in US-based postings reflect the base salary only. Equity compensation (stock options), health, dental and vision benefits are also offered for all US-based roles.
