Job Description & Responsibilities
WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO:
- Analyze and document business processes, workflows, data models, and other artifacts to assist in capturing the current and future states of business systems
- Research and propose approaches to develop functional and technical specifications for new or modified systems, processes, and procedures to meet business requirements
- Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and testers to ensure new systems or changes to existing systems meet the defined business requirements, are delivered timely, and within budget
- Help apply system settings and options to meet business goals supporting the planning and execution of system testing
- Conduct research on third-party solutions or technologies and gather insights related to their features, benefits, and drawbacks, and present findings to senior team members
- Support team in updating and maintaining system documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, such as process diagrams, data dictionaries, user manuals, and training materials
- Analyze system metrics, such as uptime, response times, and error rates, to recommend system optimization and performance improvements
- Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to support the team with identifying potential opportunities to improve existing business systems and processes
- Support and coordinate training sessions for end-users, as needed
This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa.
This position has a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and the option for working remotely two days.
Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Information Systems, or in lieu of a degree, at least 3 years of experience in the field of business systems analysis or IT (work experience or a combination of education and work experience in the field of business systems analysis or IT)
Preferred
- Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT)
Knowledge & Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in business systems analysis and design with a deep understanding of software development methodologies
- Knowledge of business and technical operations, workflows, and procedures
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
- Experience utilizing tools, techniques, and leading practices related to data analysis, coding, and automation
- Knowledge of database structures and data management principles
- Familiar with Retail IT systems including point-of-sale, merchandise management, and order management Experience with data analysis, ETL, or data migrations a plus
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools a plus
