Position Summary
This position will support Commercial Auto Workforce Management
Conducts business research/analysis. Reviews systems, processes and technologies on a project basis to provide an overall analysis with recommendations for process, system and technology improvements. Provides analysis to department management with appropriate solutions to reduce costs, recommend automations and promote efficiency within the department. Under direct supervision, oversees projects of various complexity or phases of larger projects for multiple lines of business.
Must have the ability to develop strong working relationships with all impacted teams they interface with on a daily basis.Serve as ambassador role for both business and technical areas.
Position Responsibilities
- Gathers data and analyzes business operations to understand strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions, reduce costs, and maintain and reach department objectives.
- Develops and/or updates documentation of projects and system or process changes and provides feedback to all parties in a timely manner. Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology and processes.
- Develops high level business requirements for functional specifications. Proactively searches for process improvement opportunities and technologies to meet company goals.
- Constantly monitors and reports on progress of the projects to all stakeholders. Effectively communicates relevant project information to business owners and management.
- Creates measurable and maintainable solutions that perform well and meet business needs. Creates and maintains business process maps for use in training and identification of process gaps, bottlenecks and loopholes.
- Provides support to other analysts, resolve issues and assists other team members with complex or challenging issue resolution.
- Maintain knowledge of current underwriting guidelines, pricing components, product lines, rate manuals and methodology, compliance regulations, etc. with strong knowledge of brands, business units, applications and systems, and PPA- or CV-specific subject matter.
- Maintains a close working relationship with Business Development, Claims Department and Product Management and IT teams.
- Document and maintain accurate internal records based on established department record management procedures.
- Provide technical assistance as needed to the department. Travel may be required.

Requirements
Position Qualifications
- Two to four (2 - 4) years of business analyst experience (preferred) and
- At least one (1) year insurance experience supporting the designated product line.
- Education equivalent to a college degree in an information technology related or business administration related discipline, supplemented by insurance or computer related courses/knowledge, or the equivalent in related work experience
- Must have strong critical thinking, organizational and above average written/verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with business processes related controls and procedures as well as improvement initiatives.
- Position requires the ability to work effectively amidst constant interruptions. The ability to manage numerous projects at one time.
- The ability to handle pressure to complete projects in a timely manner and ensure a high quality. Ability to understand and develop business requirements and work with staff at all levels to implement improvements to processes and tools.
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) complex technical concepts to Information Technology, other Business Units and front line employees in ways each group will understand.
- Must have above average attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong PC skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point. Microsoft Access, SQL, VBA, BI Reporting, or similar experience preferred.
- Knowledge of uidewire system platform, a plus.
- This is a remote or hybrid position reporting to the Dallas, TX or Alpharetta, GA office.
What we offer
The range for this position is Hiring Range $48,700.00 to $83,400.00. When determining candidate offers, we consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location among other factors.
