Job Description & Responsibilities
Our Investment Banking Group provides clients with the full range of financing and advisory services to achieve management's objectives throughout the entire business life cycle. Wedbush Securities is looking for a Business Analyst, Investment Banking & Capital Markets to join our Investment Banking division.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Perform P&L and business trend analysis for Investment Banking & Capital Markets
- Maintain relationships with external vendors and assist with contract negotiations for Investment Banking & Capital Markets teams
- Assist with Investment Banking revenue recognition, CRM, pipeline management, deal logging, and reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual production summary reports to analyze and improve business operations, employee productivity, and overall ROI
- Assist Investment Banking & Capital Markets teams in the new hire process, employee reviews, and ad-hoc projects
- Assist with the preparation of client presentations, reports and correspondence in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Hold relationships with other Wedbush departments to facilitate the smooth functioning of administrative responsibilities
- Assist with overseeing expense requests, reimbursements and travel approval processes
- Coordinate and attend certain offsite meetings, special events and conferences
- Assist with the oversight and allocation of department expenses and tracking of client & transaction expenses
- Ensure compliance with department procedures and policies
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University
- 2+years of experience as a Business Analyst, or Administrative or Executive Assistant, with a financial service-related firm or large corporate environment preferred but not required
- Detail-oriented, strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Knowledge of corporate finance, investment banking, accounting, and securities transactions highly desirable
- Organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency
- Extremely proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with investment banking clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Effective management and supervision skills

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 to $85,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance. At Wedbush, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at, or near, the top of the range for their role. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
