Job Description & Responsibilities
Under the general direction of AVP Strategy, this position will support the development of business plans, market analyses, executive presentations and reports. The audience for these projects are typically the executive level leaders in the organization. The business analyst will perform supporting tasks such as data extraction, data validation / data preparation, presentation drafting, scripting among other tasks to support routine and non-routine deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of executive presentations for regional CEO reporting, management meetings, and special projects.
- Assist with obtaining relevant data from various sources internal or external. Examples of sources include SAP, salesforce, governmental websites, other internal data sources including SQL databases and MS Excel based files
- Format and validate data – check for consistency and / or error prior to processing and analysis
- Documenting methodology (including data sources) of analysis
- Learn steps and processes of executive decision making and effective tools and techniques for helping our executives achieve successful outcomes
- Perform special projects/requests, as required.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Open to recent college graduates, aspiring consultants, or professionals with 1-2 years of relevant experience in a consulting or analytical role. Consultant (or ex-consultant) welcome
- Industry agnostic position suited for individuals with strong analytical mindset which is required:
- Ability to clearly articulate purpose, develop hypotheses, outline processes and communicate outcomes effectively
- High attention to detail with strong skills in data processing and calculation accuracy.
- Demonstrated curiosity and an ability to ask insightful, relevant questions.
- Proficient in MS Office suite programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word)
- Experience in SQL database and SAP is a plus
- Basic understanding of financial reporting is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, or data science is preferred
What we offer
Compensation For This Position
The compensation range for this role is $55,000-80,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
