Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

Credit Suisse Asset Management is a leading investment manager with 420Bn assets under management. As part of a global delivery team, you will be responsible for analysis and providing solutions to trading team in implementing new workflows and help with trading new asset types. You will be expected to have an excellent written and verbal communicator with a good knowledge of trading systems and various asset types and have confidence in working with IT colleagues and Operations counterparts across all levels of the organization. You will be responsible for authoring business requirements articulating required changes as agreed with assigned business groups, functional changes that translate the requirements into cohesive system changes for implementation by the technical teams and UAT test cases, execution strategy and test summary documentation to validate the changes implemented. You will possess the qualities to be able to lead other Business Analysts on larger projects and take accountability for their respective workload and deliveries.

Business Analyst - Job requirements

You would be joining the Asset Management IT team, we provide the best-in-class trading, risk, CRM and data solutions to the bank. Our systems support the division that is specialized in providing various alternative investment solutions to the clients. You would be working with some of the best-in-class people from business as well IT that supports the Asset Management division.

You Offer

  • Hands on working knowledge on Charles River platform, or similar Order management systems
  • Understanding of technical systems and an ability to write queries in SQL to address business are required
  • An in-depth understanding of various asset types such as Equities, Futures, Fixed Income securities and Derivatives (Swaps)
  • BA experience in the financial services industry, specifically trading systems with a proven delivery record in a global environment
  • Detailed understanding of full project life cycle and development process in both Waterfall and Agile projects. Align with CS standards and guidelines for delivery
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skill, able to target material and message to a wide variety of audiences at all levels in the organization. Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and effectively.
  • Deep understanding of technical ‘building blocks’ in IT, with ability to constructively challenge application owners / technical leads on their plans, assumptions, and estimates, to drive enhanced and forward-thinking solutions
  • Results oriented with excellent problem-solving skills, structured and analytical approaches, organizational ability, outstanding attention to detail, ability to multi-task, strong time management skills and positive attitude to problem solving and delivery in a team within a matrix-based organization
  • Professional team-player, highly collaborative, delivery focused, and deadline driven. Comfortable with challenging peers to bring out the best in a project team
  • Experience of driving and consolidating analysis across a wide range of projects to enable standardization and prevent duplicated efforts
  • Good experience in analyzing and defining front-to-back business process workflows and ability to understand system technical flows
  • Liaise between the buy-side trading desks and development teams to facilitate the delivery of application enhancement projects for the Asset Management trading platform

Preference would be given to people with

  • Techno functional role (with experience in .NET and SQL) will be preferred given the integration with UBS
  • Experience working on any trading system
  • Experience on working with various asset types such as Equities, Futures, Fixed Income securities and Derivatives
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives

The salary range for this position is $120,000.00 to $173,000.00 annually, based on various factors such as experience, education, skills, internal and external market data, etc.
