Job Description & Responsibilities
This is a remote position, but East Coast is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Works with data owners and custodians to develop and implement data governance processes, standards, and procedures.
- Performs analysis to gain subject matter expertise for various data domains to document current data flows, identify data silos, data duplications, and inconsistencies, and recommends solutions for resolution.
- Leads the data governance committee(s) of various domains to align data definitions and maintain common schemas.
- Collaborates with data owners and other cross-functional teams to document data inventory, definitions, and data mappings for integrations and data quality rules.
- Works with various technology groups to implement governance solutions and standards, controls, and validations in various source applications.
- Develops and maintains data quality standards and metrics.
- Monitors and ensure compliance with data governance policies and procedures.
- Provides training and support to stakeholders on data governance policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data governance, business analysis, or related data field
- Strong understanding of data modeling and database design with the ability to write and run complex SQL queries
- Knowledge of metadata management tools and data catalogs for implementing governance policies and tracking data lineage, data ownership, and documenting glossary and definitions
- Understanding data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools for ensuring data consistency and integrity across different systems and applications
- Familiarity with relevant technologies such as SQL Server, Big Query, Azure Synapse, Power BI among others
- Experience in project management, business analysis, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
