The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and develop business cases for proposed solutions. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for testing and implementing new systems and processes, as well as providing training and support to end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements from stakeholders and document processes
• Develop business cases for proposed solutions
• Test and implement new systems and processes
• Provide training and support to end-users
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis tasks.
• Acquire, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Utilize statistical techniques and data visualization tools to analyze and interpret large datasets, uncovering trends, patterns, and correlations.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics to communicate findings to company personnel.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and hypothesis testing to address specific business questions or challenges.
• Create efficient workflows with various software to automate data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Work with our Emergency Management team during a disaster situation to provide support with data entry and data reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, information technology, engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Or proven experience in data analysis, with 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency with data manipulation tools such as SQL and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills, through verbal and written communication.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Effectively work across multiple departments, receiving tasks from various team members.
• Needs to be able to work independently and utilize time management skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficient in various coding languages such as Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
• Working understanding of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Ability to travel for work during a disaster situation, on average 20% of employment time but subject to emergency activation.
