Job Description & Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst - Producer at Oculus, you'll play a critical role in building the future of virtual reality content, entertainment, and applications. You will be working closely with our first party Oculus studios, data science and marketing teams, where you will use research and data to drive business insights and KPIs to improve their products and businesses. Your insights will help inform our executive team on strategy, and will help our Studios teams create breakthrough products by helping them test ideas, business models, and product features. You will report to the Head of Strategy and Business Operations, working on key strategic initiatives for all of our wholly owned studios.
Business Analyst - Producer Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply a deep understanding of gaming industry trends and how it impacts our first party business performance and growth
- Develop and own ongoing business reporting and performance analysis and communicate insights to the team to inform decisions
- Define key metrics that direct business growth and goals
- Develop advanced analytical models to better understand how our first party studios are performing
- Deliver business insights that will drive our product roadmap both short and long term
- Prepare long-form documents and slide presentations summarizing key business insights and recommendations
- Working closely with the Finance team on the Long-Range Plan for Studios
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in business or data analytic
- 6+ years of experience building and presenting financial models, spreadsheets, presentations to executive teams
- High degree of fluency with analytical frameworks, quantitative models, market sizing and market research
- Execution-oriented with a track record of high impact, high quality results
- Experience with analyzing and diagnosing complex business challenges, formulate insights and recommendations, and motivate the broader organization to action
- Experience communicating to leadership, both internally and with partners including experience to translate insight into content, create slides or presentations, & create overall communication plans
- Experience in taking an idea from conception to execution
- Experience in turning data into a clear and insightful story
- Experience in thinking strategically and in a structured manner, and to land data-driven recommendations with engineering and business partners
- Experience structuring, scoping and solving complex problems
- Experience in successfully resolve situations of ambiguity or potential conflict and drive alignment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of consumer product and gaming experience, preferably working on a high-profile gaming franchise (i.e. Call of Duty, Clash of Clans, League of Legends, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suite
- Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL)
- Interest in gaming and AR/VR content
- Familiarity with console gaming, mobile gaming, and casual gaming business and product development a plus
What we offer
$141,000/year to $199,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
