Job Description & Responsibilities
Cetera Financial Group is currently seeking an Advisory Operations Business Analyst for our Advisory Operations team in our company’s office located in El Segundo,CA; Des Moines, IA; Saint Paul, MN; St Cloud, MN. This is a unique opportunity to join our team to provide support for Cetera Financial Group under Specialty Operations.
What You Will Do
- Knowledge and experience around Advisory or Brokerage products and/or ‘Fee For Service’ plans while providing quality customer service to internal and external customers.
- Coordinate and translate business processes into accurate data presentable to leadership and executive leadership via heavy use of Microsoft Excel.
- Responsible for Metrics and Data Analysis for Advisory and Fee For Service operations departments. Gathering and compiling capacity data from platforms, advisory operations or respective teams.
- Deliver exceptional partner experience with internal and external partners. This includes responding to clients (Advisors, Upper Management, Leadership, and Operations teams) with clear and concise feedback to come to a resolution or provide insight to the Advisory Operations business.
- Responsibility for meeting set deadlines for certain presentations around metric and capacity reporting. Adjusting deadlines with clear communication and buy-in from partners of adjustment as necessary.
- Lead and support new product or program roll-outs through collaboration with team and internal partners all the while communicating concerns, risk, and recommendations to Leadership.
- Familiarize with the Cetera Advisory process and procedures, including proposal tools, trading tools, and performance tools.
- Familiarize with the Fee For Service Process, including AdvicePay and Fee For Service Database.
- Understanding the relationship between different clearing firms and the ability to assist in different clearing firms.
- Partner with Leadership around workflow and production management. Communicating and analyzing capacity and metric concerns accordingly.
- Become competent in Docupace, NetX360, Adviceworks, MAA, Salesforce and Smartworks
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What You Need To Have
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years in an office environment 2+ years of MS Excel – understanding of what formulas to utilize and how they work, pivot tables, and how to present this data for high-level understanding. 2+ years of troubleshooting problems and providing issue resolution
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Excellent telephone, written and verbal communication skills
- A keen eye for detail with excellent follow-up skills
- Interest data organization and presentation of this data to executive leadership or partners
- Interested in forming opinions on RAW data and validating with supporting data
What Is Nice To Have
- 1+ year of brokerage or advisory experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Excel data Modeling presenting large amounts of data in presentable format at a high level
- Experience with Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Visio and/or workflow generation
What we offer
The base annual salary range for this role is $55,000 to $70,000, plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
