Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

This position is responsible for regular monitoring for all projects/areas within span of control. Provides corporate project leadership for transportation related projects; building strong cross-functional relationships to ensure that all stakeholders are appropriately engaged. This position will drive operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; analyzing data, reports, evaluating output requirements and formats. Improves systems and processes by studying current practices and designing modifications that support strategic objectives.

  • Serves as a systems administrator/coordinator for our capacity planning program.
  • Manages data related to logistics and transportation management.
  • Maintains awareness of the Workforce Management Teams’ business needs and processes and understand how technology impacts their workload
  • Maintains a working knowledge of transportation logistics operations as well as project operations.
  • Uses Ad hoc reports to identify tracks and trends to increase overall operational efficiencies with supported departments
  • Participate in other projects or duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Three (3) plus years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with large software solutions.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Effective communication and ability to work closely with all levels of management in varying departments.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, analytical and communication skills as well as team leadership skills.
  • Must be results oriented, customer focused, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to motivate teams around a common goal and strive toward excellence.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to create reports and mine data using Tableau.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, can learn quickly, and think creatively.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail an accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required, including strong presentation skills.
  • Proactive, critical thinking and ability to hold processes accountable required.
  • Effective program management capabilities to lead initiatives and facilitates cross-functional collaboration and support.
  • Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
  • Ability to organize and direct oneself and effectively provide guidance.
  • Knowledge of general statistics and familiarity with trending, time-series analysis and regression analysis.

Salary Range: $56,200 - $77,300 annually
