Job Description & Responsibilities
Working within our Data Services group, Leadership Connect is searching for a Business Analyst to support the organization's evolution of its global data collection operation processes and supporting technologies.
In partnership with our Data Operations, Data Science, and Software Development teams, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our data operations’ processes and the solutions that support it by building and articulating requirements, while ensuring great documentation.
Core Functions Of The Role
- Collaborating with stakeholders, gathering requirements for workflow and technology enhancements to support our global data collection teams.
- Analyze data operations processes to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive future efficiencies.
- Document and analyze data operations complex processes, creating flowcharts and process diagrams.
- To implement data operations workflow solutions, create detailed documentation, including functional requirements, specifications, user manuals, designs, and other relevant documents, as well as develop, manage, and communicate standards for the generation and storage of documentation.
- When necessary, perform testing to ensure that the developed solutions meet the specified requirements.
- Work closely with our subject matter experts, engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure the accuracy of the documentation or requirements.
- Conduct extensive research to gather information about the tools, systems, and processes in use by the organization.
- Collaborate with global teams, including engineering, data governance, and data analysts to ensure alignment and integration of strategies and projects.
Requirements
About You
- 2+ years of experience supporting data operations and related workflow processes, with proficiency in analyzing existing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and designing improved processes.
- 2+ years of experience driving solutions that include a global workforce, so that the individual groups are represented in resulting workflow designs and other requirements.
- 2+ years of project management experience, with demonstrated experience managing, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects effectively.
- Experience developing requirements and designs for data processing workflow applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of SDLC concepts with experience in the inception and design phases.
- Experience collecting and managing requirements from diverse sets of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the latest technology trends and tools relevant to process analysis, and the ability to apply these effectively in a business context.
- Experience in (global) data processing environments is a big plus.
- Project Management certifications are a plus
- Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Miro a plus
- An understanding of data collection, data quality, data taxonomies, and data classification approaches is another big plus.
