Job Description & Responsibilities
Insurity’s Next Business Analyst
You will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing and documenting requirements and/or functional specifications as needed, including determination of system impact and software configuration.
As a Business Analyst, you will also participate with customers and internal functional areas as appropriate throughout the development, testing, and implementation processes. Research and evaluate alternative approaches and recommend efficient and cost-effective solutions. You will contribute to activities to improve quality and advance the overall analysis practice throughout the organization.
A strong desire to develop technical and business knowledge relative to implementation of insurance processing is a must in this role. Insurance knowledge is a must.
What Our Business Analyst Will Do
-Develop, analyze, and document requirements, including business, functional and nonfunctional
- Develop customer-focused documentation for software solutions (e.g. Wireframes, Use Cases, business rules, etc.)
- Perform and support testing efforts
-Assist in the estimation of work
-Participate in straightforward system design and configuration activities
-Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
-Other duties as assigned

Certifications & Insurance Knowledge
Insurance industry experience
Nice to Have:
- Related insurance certification(s)
System Knowledge
Familiarity with:
- Writing SQL queries
- Database design concepts
- Object oriented concepts
- Web Services/APIs
- Software development life cycle
Within 6 months:
- Knowledge of specific assigned Insurity module/applicable functional area
- Familiarity with applicable tools necessary to create diagrams
- Product specific technologies
Recommended Experience And Education
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

We continuously analyze and update our salary ranges for our roles according to market trends to not only ensure our employees are paid fairly, but also help close gender, race, and disability wage gaps. Along with the benefits listed above, the salary range for this role is $60,000 to $103,000 USD, commensurate with experience.
