Job Description & Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst, you will engage with external stakeholders (customers and sales prospects), internal stakeholders, and other resources to document the details of what will meet the needs of customers; bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions within the organization. Business Analysts' main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing software testing, including user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical thought process and the ability to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
Your Mission
- Serve as Product Owner to specific product teams
- Responsible for prioritization of work items across assigned subject matter expertise areas
- Communicate with and serve as a resource to Product Managers to guide larger prioritization decisions
- Troubleshoot ticket escalations
- Work closely with the development team to produce high-quality features
Gather Product requirements which includes:
- Collating input from various sources, including quarterly user group meetings
- Defining desired outcomes
- Collaborating with System Architects to refine customer requirements
- Defining customer struggles
- Defining logical workflow
- Defining the Acceptance Criteria
- Creating regression and user-acceptance test plans
Create documentation
- Communicate system functionality, as well as current and upcoming system changes, to customers, support, trainers and other system users
Conduct Post-development Testing
- Verify that Acceptance Criteria was met
- Adjust regression testing plans
Requirements
Your Experience and Skills
- 3 – 5 years working with SaaS applications, preferably as part of a student information system
- Bachelor’s degree in business, data or computer science preferred
- Experience writing user stories, including use of Gherkin
- Experience with wireframes and/or mockups of UI
- In-depth knowledge of federal (CRDC) and CA and Texas state reporting requirements and regulations preferred (TSDS, PEIMS, SAAH, CALPADS).
- Ed-Fi knowledge preferred.

Your Education and Experience
- School and SIS experience, with Aeries experience preferred
- An understanding of the customer journey and workflow processes
- Experience developing documentation
- Experience with SQL Query and/or Postman
- Familiarity with Agile or other project management methodologies
Work Location
- Our headquarters is in Orange, CA
- Remote work within the US (CA or TX preferred)
Travel Requirements
- Expect occasional travel including (but not limited to) CA and TX
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer

Compensation
- $82,000 - $100,000 annual salary, based on experience and skills
- Bonuses awarded for exceptional performance
