Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will work effectively with team members in delivering telecommunications business support for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. The Business Analyst should have a working knowledge of Federal Telecommunications Service Delivery, Vendor processes as well as the ability to track and audit all orders from start to bill. They will support a program delivering telecommunications management, direction, administration, reporting, and quality assurance to the CMS COR and telecom team. The Business Analyst works closely with project leads and client in the execution of tasks defined in a performance work statement.

Position Responsibilities

  • Interact with the team and client to identify business needs, as well as project scope and requirements
  • Monitor and review all client order details for COR approval to service delivery and billing
  • Monitor order delays and escalate to the COR for dispute reporting
  • Manage document records and CMS Box repository
  • Proactively manage actions, issues and risks to ensure project success
  • Produce and deliver detailed status reports and briefings, along with periodic presentations
  • Coordinate and monitor timely and effective completion of actions
  • Identify and track missed vendor SLAs
  • Report SLA errors to team in support of EIS dispute actions
  • Communicate process and quality improvement ideas
  • Participate in weekly and monthly client and client vendor operational meetings
  • Review deliverables for accuracy in content, grammar and formatting, while ensuring compliance to CMS quality specifications
  • Collaborate and interface with project stakeholders, including business leaders, staff, vendors and service partners
Business Analyst - Job requirements

Requirements

  • Success delivering large transformation programs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint required
  • Ability to track and report performance to plan
  • Proven ability to write clear and concise documentation
  • Proven ability to edit (QC) deliverables
  • Experience In client-facing roles desired
  • Experience using Agile methodologies a plus
  • Familiarity with organizational change management principles a plus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree desired and or experience in Telecommunications
  • 14 years of experience, preferably in a telecommunications environment supporting Federal Agencies
  • Lean Six Sigma experience [desired]
  • Experience working in Government agency [desired]
