Job Description & Responsibilities
Core Digital Media (CDM) is seeking an early career Business Analyst to join our Analytics team. This role is a great opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to launch and propel their career in the Business Analytics domain. The Analyst we seek is a natural team player who enjoys working with and learning from others. In this role, the Business Analyst will function as a strategic Analytics partner for our Product and Marketing teams, providing continuous insights and recommendations on operational performance and advising them on the strategic direction through in-depth data analyses. As part of the Data Team, you will work closely with Data Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to understand available data, monitor business trends, implement tracking, and develop new KPIs.
The Business Analyst will work across the organization identifying actionable insights to drive strategic business decisions. The Analyst will perform a wide range of formal and ad hoc analyses, perform market research, and present recommendations across all levels of the company. This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills to support senior leadership and external partners.
The role is specifically seeking candidates who enjoy spending time in the data being curious about the business metrics to share insights on changes in metrics and explaining why those changes might be occurring.
Responsibilities
- Develop reports, routines, and processes for continually analyzing the business metrics for new trends.
- Monitor day to day business trends, market conditions, and client needs, focusing on both short and long-term impacts to key KPIs and business strategies.
- Extract insights from data by spending time in the metrics daily; build hypotheses and make business recommendations to improve company profitability and efficiency.
- Explain noteworthy insights through statistical significance analyses of changing trends in the business.
- Develop what-if models to apply to a variety of business problems.
- Work closely with colleagues across CDM and build strong relationships with: Data, Marketing, Product, Sales, and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
- Develop strong relationships with teammates and stakeholders; they are the backbone for collaboration and business impact.
- Create and deliver compelling data analyses presentations that explain in-depth insights to an experienced and diverse group of leaders in simple terms.
- Preparing and cleansing large sets of data, as required for reporting and analysis.
- Proactively provide updates on progress and/or blockers when working on tasks and seek out feedback for continued self-improvement.
Requirements
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills; enjoy explaining complex concepts through presentations.
- Ability to cultivate and foster pleasant working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Strong personal interest in analyzing business data, being curious about company performance, understanding what is happening, why it might be happening, and recommendations for improvements.
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 tools include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, mathematics, statistics, finance, or computer science
- 1+ years of working experience witha proven track recordfor excellent teamwork, collaboration, interpersonal skills, and task completion

What we offer
Salary:
$80,000 - $115,000 a year
This role is eligible for a 10% annual bonus as well as benefits and 401K plan
