Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

The Business Analyst for Intercompany works closely with all members of the Intercompany Pillar team to report and monitor attainment of the global plan and KPIs. They will support the development of analytics, reporting and key insights to properly inform Pillar Leadership decision making. The Business Analyst will be expected to develop ad-hoc reporting in support of go-to market strategies and initiatives. They will be expected to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders across BlackLine, including Marketing, Sales, Presales, Sales Ops and Finance to ensure consistency across tools, content, enablement, forecasting and measurement frameworks. In addition, the Business Analyst will support the growth and scale of business operations and drive process improvements. This person must possess exceptional analytical skills and be a proficient communicator.

You'll Get To:

Global Plan Attainment

  • Contribute to monitoring of the global plan associated with the successful attainment of pillar sales targets and the cadence for reporting progress of the plan to Pillar Leadership and Executive Management.
  • Continuously assess the plan, generate KPIs and other data insights, highlight business growth and risks, and recommend necessary changes to calibrate the plan and operations for success

Reporting and Forecasting

  • Collaborate with Finance/GTM Operations to ensure real-time visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of the Intercompany Pillar performance.
  • Assist in defining the operational processes and measurement frameworks required to measure successful outcomes against BlackLine OKRs and Intercompany Pillar KPIs.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze key metrics, including but not limited to business outlook, deal forecasts, win/loss analysis, and pipeline growth.
  • Leverage new and existing measurement frameworks to derive insights and recommend solutions for improvement where necessary across all relevant stakeholder teams.

Business Process Optimization

  • Collaborate with key stakeholder to analyze and form a solid understanding of existing process and business needs
  • Work with IT and other departments to develop, design and implement solutions

Project Management

  • Provide project management support, including tracking of progress, timelines and milestones for high priority Intercompany Pillar initiatives
  • Provide routine and ad hoc report outs for Pillar Leadership and Executive Management
Business Analyst - Job requirements

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using measurement frameworks to analyze and report on business performance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Tableau is a plus

Salary Range:

USD $93,000.00 - USD $124,000.00

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
