Ardelyx has a Phase 2 potassium lowering compound, RDX013, for the potential treatment of elevated serum potassium, or hyperkalemia, a problem among certain patients with kidney and/or heart disease and an early-stage program in metabolic acidosis, a serious electrolyte disorder in patients with CKD. Ardelyx has established agreements with Kyowa Kirin in Japan, Fosun Pharma in China and Knight Therapeutics in Canada for the development and commercialization of tenapanor in their respective territories.
Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking a talented Associate Director, IT Commercial Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with the commercial analytics function, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to support commercial decision-making processes. You will be responsible for administering and enhancing key commercial systems and working closely with cross-functional teams to develop strategic plans.
Position Responsibilities
- Support for Commercial platforms including Tableau, Veeva CRM, Snowflake and others.
- Partner with internal commercial team and third to streamline reporting and data feeds.
- Act as escalation point for IT team for topics related to commercial IT systems.
- Working with Patient Services team to ensure PHI security and compliance
- Architect, develop, and oversee the maintenance of advanced IT-driven commercial reporting tools and analytics platforms to bolster data-driven business decisions.
- Utilize IT systems to extract and provide in-depth insights into market trends, digital sales metrics, and tech-driven competitive landscape analyses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to harness technology in developing strategic business plans and tactics.
- Analyze large-scale datasets with advanced IT analytical tools to uncover trends, patterns, and untapped opportunities.
- Elevate the commercial business analytics paradigm by integrating cutting-edge IT solutions and providing thought leadership to internal stakeholders.
- Pioneer the development and rollout of next-gen commercial data platforms and IT-driven analytics tools.
- Engage in IT-specific ad hoc projects to boost commercial operational efficiency.
- Work in tandem with sales and marketing teams to leverage IT tools for optimized pricing strategies, tech-augmented promotions, and digital product offerings.
- Architect and maintain dashboards and metrics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and relay progress against targets in real-time.
- Spot and action opportunities to elevate commercial processes through IT innovations and best practice implementations.
- Forge and manage relationships with IT vendors and partners to reinforce the digital infrastructure supporting commercial operations.
- Educate and empower internal stakeholders with training on IT-driven commercial analytics tools and methodologies.
- Stay abreast of tech shifts in the industry, incorporating new IT solutions, tools, and best practices in commercial analytics processes.
- Guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements via IT-centric audits and adherence to company’s tech policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications
- BA/BS, MBA a plus
- 8+ years of experience in IT supporting commercial analytics in the biotech space
- Experience in supporting systems enabling direct-to-patient and digital marketing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data.
- Experience with leveraging systems to enable market research, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex data to senior leadership.
- Experience with commercial data platforms and analytics tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of business analysts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Combination of strong strategic thinking with ability to execute tactical plans
- Ability to work well in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with significant autonomy

Work Environment
- Corporate office location in Waltham, MA. Hybrid will be considered.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of time within the U.S.
What we offer
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $157,500 to $192,500. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
Ardelyx also offers a robust benefits package to employees, including a 401(k) plan, equity incentive plans, health plans (medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision) and basic life insurance and disability, as well as up to 10 hours of paid vacation per month, and at least 10 paid holidays.
