Associate Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

The position is responsible for creating the business and/or functional requirements necessary for technology solutions that meet customer needs, expected delivery dates, and exceptional quality standards.

This is a remote role in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the Manager to provide application solutions for assigned business areas.
  • Assist in analyzing client workflows and processes for potential enhancements to automate or improve the product
  • Obtain functional knowledge of application technology as assigned
  • Participate in sales activities including demos and go-to-market activities as needed
  • Assist with the creation of research as assigned and present to manager
  • Create functional requirements specifications driven by strategic product direction – instructing Development what the requirements are for each enhancement
  • Translate business needs, from users, into functional requirements understanding the desired outcomes
  • Write test cases and participate in Quality Assurance testing once the design has been developed, to ensure the functional requirements are met
  • Present both internally to leadership or externally to clients and users
  • Understand industry trends and metrics shared by Solution Managers
  • Participate in user focus groups and requirements workshops, vendor training and demonstrations.
Associate Business Analyst - Job requirements

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent/years of experience required
  • Demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills in general
  • Attention to detail and ability to articulate or summarize at the appropriate level
  • Ability to work independently, yet as a critical player of a remote team

Experience:

  • 0-2 years Health IT industry experience preferred
  • 0-2 years' experience in healthcare revenue cycle systems
  • Healthcare analyst background preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory or industry standards related to healthcare preferred
  • Excellent client facing skills with the ability to thrive in a highly critical, fast paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)

Travel Requirements:

  • May require travel for business needs.

Working Arrangements:

  • Work is performed in a remote environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards or remote.
